Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary
Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary was established in January of 2004 for the purpose of providing quality and affordable Biblical/Theological Degree Programs for those who labor in Ministry. We are a "non-denominational" institution of higher learning. However, we subscribe to, practice, teach and preach the doctrines of the Christian Faith. Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary is recognized as the official educational institution of the United Assemblies of Christ International. Accreditation: Although the word "seminary," may imply graduate training for higher institutional learning, the Seminary has been established for the sole purpose of issuing credentials to men and women as certified, licensed and ordained professional ministers. Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary is a subordinate ministry/auxiliary of United Assemblies of Christ International, which is filed with the IRS as an exempt church/educational ministry. With this status we may train, as well as license and ordain and commission Churches through the United Assemblies of Christ International. Our emphasis is not to achieve secular accreditation, although we issue degrees for ministry purposes only. Our mission is to equip the minister with practical education for his/her ministry. We continue in this practical path as the means of fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Non-Dsicriminatory Policy: Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary admits students of any race, age, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the Seminary. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic administered programs. As an educational community affiliated with the Church, Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary is committed to developing a safe and open living and working environment for a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff. For academic and social integrity, CBCTS encourages an environment of respect for all people and diverse beliefs, and it maintains a policy of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability in the employment and advancement of CBCTS staff. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including, but not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training. Mission: The Mission of Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary is five-fold in nature. We strive to be on the forefront of providing quality and affordable programs of Biblical/Theological education and training, while maintaining scriptural integrity and commitment to the empowerment and equipping of Five-Fold Ministers. Therefore, our Mission is as follows:
Financial Support: CBCTS is supported by the contributions of various interested individuals and congregations of the United Assemblies of Christ International. Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary enjoys a strong relationship with its supporting churches and ministries. Orientation: At the start of each session, new and transfer students are led in a period of orientation, the purpose of which is to ease the transition to Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary by acquainting students with the mission, people, systems, and setting of Covenant Bible College & Theological Seminary. Lectures: All lectures, unless otherwise specified in the current course catalogue are provided online via video and/or audio lectures. All students, faculty and staff are required to utilize the CBCTS Virtual Classroom for completion of assignments, quizzes, exams and lectures. Submission of Course-work: It is the student's responsibility to submit the required course-work and assignments via email no later than 11:59 pm (mid-night) on the first day of each week (Sunday). Failure to submit the required course-work will result in lower grades and the possibility of expulsion from the course. Habitual disregard to course-work submission policy will result in the student being expelled (indefinitely) from all classes for the session in which he/she is currently in. |
